Twiddle was at the Concord Music Hall in Chicago earlier this month on February 8th as part of the Vermont-based jam band’s winter 2019 concert run across the midwest. The 17-song, two-set show featured a special sit-in from Mungion guitarist Justin Reckamp, whose band was on opening duties earlier in the night. Twiddle shared the pro-shot video of the entire first set from the Chicago performance on Sunday, which can now be watched and enjoyed by fans who couldn’t make it to the party in the “Windy City” that evening.

The first set opened up with a blast from the past as Twiddle started their show with a nostalgic cover of the theme from “Family Matters” before returning to their own song catalog with “Orlando’s”. The performance transitioned right into “Dr. Remidi’s Melodium” before returning to “Orlando’s”, and the set continued with another “Grandpa Fox”, which carried into “Milk”. The latter featured a sit-in from Justin Reckamp before the band returned to “Grandpa Fox”, closing the first set out with “Lost In The Cold”. Fans can watch the video below to enjoy the entire first set–with the Reckamp sit-in beginning at the 33:45-minute mark.

The show continued into the second half starting with “Fat Country Baby”, “Subconscious Prelude” and “Be There” before tearing into a cover of “Shakedown Street” by the Grateful Dead. The second half of the performance with “Earth Mama”, an original tune penned by singer/guitarist Mihali Savoulidis, which continued into “Apples”. Next up was “The Caterpillar”, followed by “When It Rains It Pours” to close out the set. The band returned to the stage for a two-song encore beginning with a cover of Electric Light Orchestra‘s “Fire On High” before wrapping the show with “Every Soul”.

Twiddle will return to the road in March with Iya Terra, hitting most of the west coast throughout the month and then re-grouping for two nights at the Paramount Theatre in Rutland, VT. In April, the band will hit major markets in the northeast before linking up with Pigeons Playing Ping Pong for their five-date “Road to Red Rocks”, which will land them at the beloved Morrison, CO venue on May 2nd.
