Ty Segall Releases Alternative “Fanny Dog (Royal)” Track [Listen]

Following the recent release of Freedom’s Goblin, Ty Segall has spent time on the road in support of the 2018 album. Today, Ty Segall and the Freedom Band released some additional material from the recent recording session: A reinterpreted version of the opening “Fanny Dog” track.

The new version, titled “Fanny Dog (Royal)”, is a soulful and funked-out rendition of the groovy track, adding jammed-out piano and brass arrangements to the original take. There’s no supporting information that would indicate additional releases from the Freedom’s Goblin session, so perhaps he gives “Fanny Dog” the royal treatment? Check it out:
