On Monday night, Irish rockers U2 hit Atlanta, GA, performing a powerful show at the Infinite Energy Arena. The band started out on a platform, kicking things off with “Love Is All We Have Left”, a new song from the band’s most recent album, Songs Of Experience, which was released in December of 2017. This opening number set a trend for the rest of the night, as the band would ultimately offer up eight of the record’s 13 tracks during the show.

Given the holiday, U2’s performance had a Memorial Day theme, with Bono ultimately thanking all of those have given their life for their country. Similarly, during the tune “American Soul”, which came toward the end of the band’s second set, U2 had a large American flag brought out from behind the stage. Another highlight of the night was “You’re The Best Thing”, which was given a softer, gentler rendition than its studio album counterpart.
