On-demand car service app Uber has teamed up with Live Nation to make that dreaded post-festival/concert taxi search a little easier. An announcement yesterday proclaimed that there will be designated Uber drop-off and pick-up locations at over 62 Live Nation venues and 20 festivals nationwide.
The partnership will kick off Memorial Day Weekend at EDC New York and Sasquatch! in Quincy, Washington. Uber promises that “For each event riders will receive information about the best ways to plan ahead ensuring they can easily get where they want go and enjoy all their favorite acts.”
As part of the deal, your first ride to or from a Live Nation venue or event is free (up to $20 value) by entering promo code LIVENATION.
“Fans want the journey to and from a concert to be as smooth as possible,” said Live Nation’s President of Media and Sponsorships, Russell Wallach. “Uber offers a convenient alternative to driving for riders to any event, and we are thrilled about the experience this brings for all of our fans.”
