Umphrey’s McGee has announced a run of winter dates dubbed the Wax On, Wax Off Tour. This tour will follow up the band’s massive 2018, which saw the band release two new albums: January’s it’s not us and its surprise May sister album, it’s you.
The tour begins at Richmond, VA’s The National on January 11th and 12th, before the band’s already announced appearance on Jam Cruise 17. After touching back on land, the band will head up to Cincinnati, OH’s Taft Theatre, January 18th and 19th, with support from Big Something.
The following weekend, Umphrey’s McGee will head up to Milwaukee, WI’s The Riverside Theater, January 25th and 26th, with support from The Marcus King Band. Next, they’ll head east with stops in New Haven, Albany, and Portland with Robert Walter’s 20th Congress joining them as support at the New Haven (January 31st), Albany (February 1st), and Portland (February 2nd) shows.
Umphrey’s McGee will then spend three nights at Brooklyn’s Brooklyn Steel, February 14th, 15th, and 16th, before wrapping up the winter run with a stop in Fort Wayne, IN (February 21st) and a two-night run at Detroit’s The Fillmore (February 22nd and 23rd). Moser Woods will support UM in Detroit, with Michael Menert and the Pretty Fantastics opening up the final two shows of the winter run in Detroit.
A ticket pre-sale through Umphrey’s Ticketing and umVIP on sale for the newly announced dates will both begin Wednesday, October 18th at 11:00 am ET, with a public on sale starting Friday, October 19th at 11:00 am ET.
