Break Science Announces Official Umphrey’s McGee/Lettuce Afterparty With The Shady Horns
From some of the most premier festivals to historic venues across the country, funk powerhouse Lettuce is making moves. If headlining a near sold out Red Rocks show along with the Motet and dominating the late night New Orleans Jazz Fest scene wasn’t enough, Grateful Dead’s Bill Kreutzmann recently called Adam Deitch his current favorite drummer! Lettuce is clearly on an unstoppable trajectory, made only more potent by the fact that they have their tightest album to date on the way.
Who better to team up with than one of the most fired up jam bands out there right now? Umphrey’s McGee is at the top of their game, recently selling out two nights at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas as part of their annual UMBowl run and constantly thinking up new and exciting ways to interact with their fans, like through a new app that allows you to virtually jam out with the boys. With a recent recording at the famed Abbey Road Studios under their belt, Umphrey’s is constantly pushing boundaries and soaring to new heights.
What happens when these two forces collide is a sight to behold. The bands paired up in St. Augustine recently for one of the most epic shows of the year, trading sit-ins and dabbling in classic hip-hop. We can’t wait to see what sort of surprises the bands have in store this time around.
