Umphrey’s McGee have announced details surrounding their new DVD called Red. Rocks. Repeat. The two-disc set, which will officially be released on November 18th, features footage from both nights of their now-annual Independence Day weekend run at the famed Morrison, CO venue. With over five hours of pro-shot footage to sift through, that’s a lot of Umph!
Also included with the DVD is ton of unreleased, behind-the-scenes footage from the band’s famous pre-show warm ups and rehearsals. There are a number of in-depth interviews with the band throughout the film that show the band discussing a variety of topics, such as inter-band friendships, their approach to improvisation, their songwriting process, and what it’s like to headline shows at an incredible venue like Red Rocks.
The shows, which took place July 2nd and 3rd of this year, were captured on 16 High Definition cameras by TourGigs. There are multiple audio options, offering both Stereo and 5.1 Dolby Digital surround, to give viewers at home the ultimate Umphrey’s McGee audio/visual experience.

Both songs are newer to to the Umphrey’s McGee catalog, with “Make It Right” debuting at UMBowl in 2015, and “Gone For Good” debuting back in January of this year during the band’s New Year’s run.
