With a stacked lineup featuring Widespread Panic (x2), Gregg Allman, Gov’t Mule, Les Brers (a project fronted by ABB drummer Butch Trucks) and Jaimoe’s Jasssz Band, the annual Wanee Festival looks to be quite the musical celebration. Held at the Spirit of Suwannee Park in Live Oak, FL from April 14-16, the festival continues to be a centerpiece for Allman Brothers fans everywhere to rejoice in the sweet Southern-drenched jam/rock music.
One of the many highlights from the lineup was the inclusion of Umphrey’s McGee. Today, that announcement has even more oomph, as the festival has revealed that UM will be performing a number of mash-up songs for the festival.
Generally reserved for Halloween, Umphrey’s McGee fans always take great pleasure in the band’s cover mash-ups. The festival even shared video of a classic mash-up from the band’s 10/28/2011 show, a mixture of Bob Marley’s “No Woman, No Cry” and The Beatles’ “Let It Be.” Watch below:
We can’t wait for Wanee!
