There have been recent reports that Eagles of Death Metal were to play alongside U2 tonight at Paris’ Accorhotels Arena in Bercy. The event was originally postponed due to the November 13th Paris attacks. Tonight’s show will take place as scheduled, except EODM will not be performing.

According to a statement from U2’s website, “‎Some people have been saying that Eagles of Death Metal will appear on stage with U2 tonight. This is not the case. We have another surprise guest planned for tonight’s show.‎”

The Eagles of Death Metal, who will be continuing their European tour in February, are currently launching a fundraising campaign for the victims of the attacks, and are spurring other bands to cover their song “I Love You All The Time” so that they can donate the publishing earnings. We’ve seen great tributes already from My Morning Jacket and Dean Ween. Music really does bring people together.
