This may have been the funkiest wedding we’ve witnessed in awhile…well, ever! On Saturday evening at Fool’s Paradise, as Vulfpeck took the stage, they were joined by a young couple eager to profess their love for one another in front of the crowd of over 2,500 people. Nicole and Jimmy Tripp said their vows and their “I Do’s” as fans cried and cheered along, with Vulfpeck playing wedding-style music in the background. It was truly a special moment.

Following the wedding, the funky quartet segued into “Christmas in LA”, replacing the lyrics to fit the setting with “Christmas in FLA”. The incredible Antwaun Stanley joined on about midway through the set to provide vocals on fan favorites “Funky Duck” and “1612”. A cover of The Band’s “Up On Cripple Creek” was undoubtedly a highlight, trumped only by a rendition of Stevie Wonder’s “I Wish” featuring Snarky Puppy’s Cory Henry on keys and Stanley back on vocals.
