Back in September of 2016, funk outfit Vulfpeck took over the Brooklyn Bowl in New York with a series of remarkable shows. One of the highlights from the run was the inclusion of drum master Bernard Purdie, inventor of the famed Purdie shuffle. Purdie sat in with Vulfpeck during each and every show, accompanying on drums for a number of songs including a cover of “Something” by The Beatles.
Today, Vulfpeck has shared a live video from that Brooklyn Bowl run, capturing Purdie’s shuffle with Vulfpeck in style. Check out the new video, posted below.
