The Best Things We Saw At Suwanee Hulaween 2017
While the festival’s host band is no longer with us, the spirit of the Allman Brothers will live on through its lineup. Original drummer Jaimoe, the only remaining member of the 45 year old band, will be performing with both his band and Les Bros, a play on Butch Trucks‘ most recent band Les Brers. Debuting at Christmas Jam this December, the Les Bros lineup features a group of ABB alumni and associates including percussionist Marc Quiñones, guitarist Jack Pearson, vocalist Lamar Williams Jr., keyboardist Bruce Katz and more. Quiñones, who played in the latest iteration of the Allman Brothers Band, will also join Karl Denson for his new “Eat A Bunch of Peaches” tribute, alongside funk bassist George Porter Jr.. Berry Oakley Jr., son of original bassist Berry Oakley, will perform with his band the Indigenous Suspects; and Vaylor Trucks, son of original drummer Butch Trucks, will perform with his band The Yeti Trio.
You can check out the full lineup below, or head to the festival’s website for details. Tickets go on sale this Thursday, November 17 at 10:00 AM local time.
