After a thirteen-year run, Wanee Music Festival officially canceled their 2019 event at The Spirit Of The Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida late last year. While the official announcement cited holiday timing as their reason not to return, festival organizers promised future Wanee-related announcements.

Today, the Allman Brothers Band announced the inaugural Wanee Block Party, a multi-stage event going down March 22nd-23rd in Fort Lauderdale, Florida at Revolution, America’s Backyard, and Stache.

On Friday, March 22nd, the evening event will be headlined by Jaimoe’s Mississippi Allstars, comprised of Jaimoe’s Jasssz Band, as well as Cody Dickinson and Luther Dickinson of North Mississippi Allstars. VIP ticket holders will gain access to an exclusive VIP party sponsored by The Big House Museum, a meet and greet with Jaimoe’s Jasssz Band, a Kirk West Photography exhibit and book signing, as well as a VIP concert viewing area.

The next day will offer a full schedule of music featuring performances from The Marcus King Band with North Mississippi Allstars, Jaimoe’s Jasssz Band, George Porter Jr. Trio, The Lee Boys, Bobby Lee Rogers Trio, Gabriel Kelley, and a “Wanee Family Jam”. VIP ticket holders will gain access to exclusive viewing areas at the Peach and Mushroom stages.

All tickets can be purchased via Ticketmaster.
