Bernie Sanders and Killer Mike have long been friends, so it came as no surprise that Sanders showed his appreciation for Run The Jewels by introducing them at Coachella last night. Sanders appeared via video, expressing his sincere appreciation for Killer Mike’s efforts.

Sanders’ support from the music community has been a key to spreading his message, and in advance of the crucial April 19th New York Democratic Primary, a stellar assortment of musicians are getting together to back their candidate. On April 18th at The Hall at MP, in Brooklyn, NY, the “Get Out and Vote For Bernie” benefit concert will be led by the group Kung Fu, with special guest support from an all-star cast, including Phish’s Jon Fishman, Dead & Company’s Oteil Burbridge, String Cheese Incident’s Jason Hann, Trey Anastasio Band’s Natalie Cressman, and so many more.

As Bernie Sanders’ 2016 campaign is “people-powered,” any and all donations to the campaign can go a long way. Donation stations will be set up at the event, and you can also contribute prior to the event here.
