Jimi Hendrix: Electric Church will premiere September 4th on Showtime. A large focus of the documentary involves Hendrix’s seminal performance at the Atlanta International Pop Festival on July 4th, 1970: one of Hendrix’s last US shows before his untimely death, and definitely his largest, with about 300,000 people in attendance.
