U2 hit Madison Square Garden last night for night three of their 8-night run, with some surprise guests in tow. First, Bono called on Jimmy Fallon, who was superfanning it from the audience with a sign that said “Singer with broken finger”.
“I’m a big fan of Irish people that fall down and hurt themselves. So you’re like a mentor to me, brother,” he told Bono.
“Edge,” he joked of the guitarist’s recent injury, “what you did a couple of weeks ago falling off the stage was classic, brother. I’m happy to be a part of the club.”

He then proceeded to crush it on “Desire,” taking the lead on vocals in perfect Bono style and getting into a harmonica solo. Bono even let him wear his signature sunglasses as he snapped some iPhone pics!
Finally, The Roots joined on for “Angel of Harlem” to complete the exciting segment. Watch fan-shot footage below, via Rolling Stone.
