Influential rapper Kendrick Lamar is teaming up with Amazon Music to mark the tenth anniversary of his breakout LP, 2012’s good kid, m.A.A.d city, by allowing fans around the globe the chance to watch his concert at Paris, France’s Accor Arena on Saturday, October 22nd. The free livestream will also include opening sets by Tanna Leone and Baby Keem.

Lamar has been on the road since July in support of his latest album, 2022’s Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers. While the concerts on the tour have predominantly drawn from the new album, good kid, m.A.A.d city has consistently been well-represented in the setlist, with favorites like “Backseat Freestyle”, “Bitch, Don’t Kill My Vibe”, “Money Trees”, and more making nightly appearances.

Will Kendrick Lamar dip deeper into the good kid well in Paris in honor of its tenth birthday? We’ll have to wait and see, but there is some precedent here: Last year, Lamar began his headlining performance at Las Vegas, NV’s Day N Vegas festival by breaking out a number of long-lost songs from his studio debut, 2011’s Section.80, in honor of its tenth anniversary before moving through his discography in chronological order with songs from each of his successive albums.

Amazon Music is providing fans with various ways to watch the free Kendrick Lamar livestream from Paris on Saturday, October 22nd at 2 p.m. ET. Tune in via the Prime Video app on your TV, on the Amazon Music mobile app, or via the Amazon Music Twitch channel. The concert will also be able to stream on-demand after the fact via Prime Video.

“As a kid from the west side of Compton, hearing good kid, m.A.A.d city for the first time and seeing Kendrick’s journey from neighborhood hero to global superstar ignited a fire in me that I’m forever grateful for,” said Tim Hinshaw, head of R&B and hip-hop for Amazon Music. “It showed me that no matter where you start in life, hard work and dedication will put you where you hope and dream to be. Now, 10 years later, it’s almost poetic that two kids from the same city with similar, but different dreams have landed in Paris to celebrate not just that record but Kendrick’s latest revolutionary album, Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers. We’re honored to sponsor this tour and bring this show to fans around the world.”

“We are thrilled to be working with Kendrick Lamar, one of the most influential and groundbreaking artists of my generation, and pgLang to collaborate across Amazon for this epic entertainment event,” added Alaina Bartels, head of talent synergy & specials, Amazon Studios. “We continue to be the home for talent and creating special opportunities for our global customers to experience their awe-inspiring creativity.”
