One of the most fun sets from last weekend’s 28th Annual Christmas Jam was the funk fueled super jam session hosted by George Porter Jr. The Meters’ bassist recruited the likes Branford Marsalis, Eric Krasno, John Medeski, and Terence Higgins for the short-but-sweet show, and mostly focused on hits from The Meters catalog.

Though we previously covered Bob Weir’s sit in with the band on “Sugaree,” new videos have since emerged that show off this all-star ensemble jamming with the rising superstar, Marcus King. The 20-year-old guitarist is the real deal, and his work on “Just Kissed My Baby” with these music veterans is nothing short of impressive. The future is bright for Mr. King, that’s for certain.
