This past Tuesday at Terrapin Crossroads, Phil Lesh And The Terrapin Family Band made a surprise appearance during Stu Allen’s weekly “Stuesday” show. Bookended by sets from Allen’s band, which included Reed Mathis, Ezra Lipp, and Mookie Siegal, Phil and the Family Band played an hour long set, featuring Grateful Dead tunes like “Brown Eyed Women,” “Scarlet Begonias,” “Ripple” and covers of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Bad Moon Rising” and Bob Dylan’s “Quinn the Eskimo (Mighty Quinn).” Lesh’s band included the familiar composition of son Grahame Lesh, Ross James, Alex Koford and Scott Guberman.
