By now, any fan of Phish must be aware of the pure magic that was Fall 1997. The band had been on an upward swing throughout the 90’s, heightening their exploratory nature while writing some of their best music to date.

On this day in 1997, the band came out firing in the second set with an extended jam on “Saw It Again,” before diving head-first into one of the top “Piper” jams to date. The Pepsi Arena in Albany, NY was absolutely electric, as you can see in these videos captured by romanb99:
