August 8th, 2004. For Chicagoans, it’s a day that remains strongly etched in the minds of some traumatized locals. It’s the day that a Dave Matthews Band tour bus accidentally dumped 800 pounds of human waste into the Chicago River, landing on some tourists in a tour boat.
To commemorate the 11th anniversary of this pungent occasion, Chicago-based music blog Consequence of Sound produced a mockumentary video detailing the events of that day, with eye-witness accounts and more. You can watch the hilarious film below:
