Times were simpler back in 2014. Donald Trump was just an eccentric real estate mogul, rats weren’t carrying pizza, and The Allman Brothers Band were still playing shows together.
Captured at Wanee Festival of last year, we came across this video of the Allmans playing a cover of the Grateful Dead’s “Franklin’s Tower”, alongside a very special guest: Phish guitarist Trey Anastasio.
It’s not very often that three of our favorite guitarists share the same stage, so we wanted to bask in the glory of this jam for a moment. Enjoy!
All three musicians are quite busy these days, Trey Anastasio with Phish and Trey Anastasio Band, Warren Haynes with Gov’t Mule and Ashes & Dust Band and Derek Trucks with Tedeschi Trucks Band. Hopefully they’ll get together again soon!
