Yonder Mountain String Band brought a stunning cover of Pink Floyd‘s “Goodbye Blue Sky” to the Crystal Ballroom in Portland earlier this year on March the 18th. The song comes from the English rock band’s 11th studio album, The Wall, from 1979, describing the memory of The Blitz, or lightning war, when the Nazi regime bombed the United Kingdom during the Second World War.
The darkness of Pink Floyd’s music blends into a symphony of strings, well-captured in this professionally shot video that the band shared earlier today on their Facebook.
