The legendary Wavy Gravy is celebrating his 80th birthday in 2016, and a number of great musicians have signed on to join in the festivities. On May 22nd, Gravy will take over the SOMO Village Event Center in Rohnert Park, CA for a day filled with music! Performers include Steve Earle, New Riders of the Purple Sage, John Popper, Achilles Wheel, The T-Sisters, Dead Winter Carpenters, Grateful Bluegrass Boys, Sambadrop, Clown Conspiracy and more.
Gravy has been an active entertainer/advocate since the 1960’s, making this celebration all the more special. Between appearances at major festivals to connections with almost every band in the scene, there’s just no shortage of love for Wavy Gravy!
All proceeds for the birthday show will go to Gravy’s Seva Foundation, which promotes eye care and blindness prevention worldwide. More information about the event can be found here.
