Ween closed out a two-night run at the Red Rocks Amphitheater on Wednesday night. In a fitting development, the band was forced to take the stage an hour later than expected due to a thunderstorm or, as the fan site BrownBase referred to it on the setlist, “superfluous atmospheric electricity.”

The two-nighter got started on Tuesday with a 28-song set that featured a nice assortment of newer tunes, staples, and a big rarity. Among them were “How High Can You Fly?”, a number the band debuted during their hiatus-ending show at Colorado’s 1st Bank Center in 2016, and “Mononucleosis”, a “The Pod” track that has only been played on 14 occasions since its debut in 1995. Finally, singer Aaron “Gene Ween” Freemanguitarist Mickey “Dean Ween” Melchiondo, bassist Dave Dreiwitz, drummer Claude Coleman Jr., and keyboardist Glenn McClelland wrapped up the night with an encore run of “Stroker Ace”, “Homo Rainbow”, and “You Fucked Up”.

After getting things started a bit behind schedule, Ween delivered a huge bust on Wednesday night. While most of the set consisted of tunes commonly found in the band’s post-hiatus repertoire, the fans were also treated to “If You Could Save Yourself (You’d Save Us All)” for the first time in 258 shows. Debuted in 2002 and originally released on 2003’s Quebec, the song fell out of rotation at the end of 2003 before resurfacing on Wednesday night. Last night’s concert also featured a rendition of “The Enabler”, a semi-cover that was originally performed by Dreiwitz’s old band Instant Death (though Ween has been playing it since 1999).

Ween will return to the road on July 24th when they kick off a series of Midwest dates at the Agora Theatre in Cleveland, OH. You can check both of their Red Rocks setlists—and a ton of photos from the run courtesy of Bill McAlaine and Aaron Engler—below.
