And on the third night of the Boognish Rising, Ween promised us all a very bright future. With another stand-out setlist, including “Mutilated Lips,” “Freedom of ’76,” “Don’t Get 2 Close (2 My Fantasy), another six-song unplugged string of acoustics, which brought the long-awaited “Mollusk,” and a live debut of “Israel,” the night was topped with an unforgettable double-return encore, bringing the Valentine’s Day weekend to a close with an astonishing 93 total songs.

Ween Goes Brown For Night Two Of Colorado Reunion – Full Audio & Videos

The career-spanning three-night run sifted through their entire collection, keeping songs relatively short, but well-lived, and making sure to include equal parts hits and bust-outs. The most-visited collection was from their first-ever studio album, 1990’s God Ween Satan (14 songs), followed by 1994’s famed Chocolate & Cheese (13). Not too far behind was 1991’s The Pod (11), and 2000’s White Pepper (10). The run also featured three live debuts and one cover, in honor of Lemmy Kilmister. A full list of the weekend’s statistics is listed at the bottom of the page.

With several odes of appreciation spoken throughout run, it is obvious that the Boognish is only just beginning to rise. Thank you Dean and Gene Ween, together again, with Claude Coleman Jr., Dave Dreiwitz, and Glenn McClelland for making dreams come true. We look forward to what is still to come!

To close the night, and at some odd hour of the morning, Mickey Melchiondo Jr. (aka Dean Ween) posted a heartfelt message to the ever-growing “WEEN Appreciation Society (Rise Of The Boognish)” private Facebook group:

“i’ll make this as short as i can right now. 4 years, and then a few months of thinking about nothing but these gigs. it was a mental ride for sure, the months seemed like years, the days seemed like months–6 weeks, 3 weeks, a week til rehearsals, days until the shows, hours before “the first show”, and now it’s past. it was so much fun that i can’t put it in a post. you people made it happen. my mind was on one thing only — here is a picture that might sum it up. and a huge thank you–you’ll never know how much we love you. no way can i sleep tonight, i just cant believe that we’re not doing it tomorrow night, i don’t want it to end, ever, this feeling…..”
