Ween stopped by Westville Music Bowl in New Haven, CT last night to kick off a weekend of shows that will continue with two nights at Borgata Event Center in Atlantic City, NJ. In their first show since April, the band treated eager fans to a 30-song set, having not made it to the other nine songs on the printed setlist, apparently.

The quirky quintet opened the show with “She Wanted to Leave”, a mid-tempo waltz off 1997’s The Mollusk, which was followed by the latin-influenced “Bananas and Blow” from 2000’s White Pepper and “Piss Up a Rope” from the country-themed 12 Golden Country Greats.

Once underway, the set barreled through a wide selection of Ween originals highlighted by fan favorite “Roses Are Free”, a slowed-down take on “Polka dot Tail” that included a tease of “Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic” by The Police, and “The Stallion, Part 1”, which was bookended later in the set with “The Stallion, Part 5”. The band also played a cover of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young‘s “Ohio” for the first time since 2017.
