The band’s 12th studio album was recorded live in the studio, a technique that the band used for the first time in their almost 30-year career. Pulling from blues, jazz, rock, and everything else under the sun, the band are simply improvisational masters, and that quality shines on Street Dogs (according to a press release).

Tracks mentioned in the announcement include: “Angels Don’t Sing The Blues”, “Poorhouse of Positive Thinking”, “Street Dogs for Breakfast” and “Cease Fire”, as well as cover renditions of Alan Price’s “Sell Sell”, Murray McLauchlan’s “Honky Red” and Willie Dixon’s “Taildragger”, made famous by Howlin’ Wolf.

The press release surrounding the album also indicates that original WSP drummer Todd Nance will be returning to the fold sometime in 2016. We’re certainly excited for this new album!!
