Widespread Panic will get its fill of coconuts at Panic en la Playa Doce, the twelfth edition of the band’s annual Mexico getaway. Joining the Athens, GA swamp rock champions of WSP are the official Allman Brothers Band tribute Trouble No More, Kitchen Dwellers, The Main Squeeze, and more.
Set for April 14th–18th, 2024 at the Hard Rock Riviera Maya in Cancun, the vacation will also include sets from Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country, DJ Logic, and the Playa Allstars, featuring Eric Krasno, Ivan Neville, George Porter Jr., Jennifer Hartswick, Tony Hall, Cochemea Gastelum, and Raymond Weber. Widespread Panic will perform each of the four nights of Panic en la Playa.
Beyond the music, fans can participate in myriad daytime activities including morning yoga, artist-hosted poolside games, and others to be announced. At night, the resort will come alive with deep dives into Widespread Panic’s vast catalog and creative theme nights that will unite the community of long-time PELPers and first-timers alike.
Guests can also give back to the local Quintana Roo region by participating in off-site activities through the event’s charitable partner Positive Legacy. Attendees can help the local organization aid in hunger relief, provide medical and school supplies, build playgrounds and community gardens, restore the region’s beaches, and improve infrastructure at the largest turtle sanctuary in the Yucatan.
Returning Panic en la Playa guests will have access to a pre-sale beginning June 28th. All-inclusive packages go on sale to the general public on June 29th at 1 p.m. ET. Attendees will have the choice of a variety of rooms including premium suites overlooking the main stage, rooms with semi-private swim-out pools, private sky terraces for hosting friends new and old, and more.
