With Widespread Panic gearing up for a three-night run at the Chicago Theatre in Chicago, IL, the band is showing their love for all things Chicago. The shows are scheduled from May 5th through May 7th, but those won’t be the entirety of the festivities.

It seems that the band members are getting in on some hometown baseball action, as JoJo Hermann is scheduled to throw out the first pitch at the Chicago White Sox game on May 4th, and Sunny Ortiz will follow suit with the Chicago Cubs on May 6th. The news was reported by PanicStream, though only the first pitch for the White Sox game appears on the team’s online schedule.

This won’t be the first time that Chicago baseball and Widespread Panic have crossed paths, as JoJo Hermann threw out a first pitch at Wrigley Field for the Chicago Cubs last September. Let’s hope they throw some strikes!
