Willie Nelson will once again celebrate our nation’s independence with a 4th of July Picnic in Austin, TX. In addition to commemorating the sovereignty of the United States, this year’s event at Austin’s Q2 Arena will also mark the 50th anniversary of Willie’s musical picnic and holiday celebration.
Joining Nelson for this summer’s gathering at the home of the MLS‘ Austin FC are Tyler Childers, Dwight Yoakam, Shakey Graves, Shane Smith & the Saints, Sierra Ferrell, Asleep at the Wheel, and Particle Kid. Willie Nelson will perform alongside his family, including his son Micah aka Particle Kid.

Tickets for the Willie Nelson 4th of July Picnic in Austin go on sale on Friday, April 28th at 10 a.m. CT. Following the day of musical performances on two stages, fans can enjoy a post-show fireworks display to celebrate the national holiday.
The 4th of July Picnic marks just the latest celebratory addition to Willie’s calendar. Next weekend, The Red Headed Stranger is throwing himself a massive two-day 90th birthday bash at the Hollywood Bowl. On tap to celebrate Willie’s birthday at the event dubbed Long Story Short are Bob Weir, Neil Young, Snoop Dogg, Sturgill Simpson, Kacey Musgraves, Billy Strings, Margo Price, Chris Stapleton, Charley Crockett, The Chicks, and many more.
