Willie Nelson and Kacey Musgraves performed “Rainbow Connection” on Wednesday night at the annual Country Music Association Awards, often referred to as the CMA Awards. The duet performance of The Muppets‘ classic was part of the annual awards ceremony held at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN.

Kacey Musgraves took home the 2019 CMA Award for “Female Vocalist Of The Year” and for “Music Video Of The Year” for her song “Rainbow” from her acclaimed, Grammy-winning 2018 album, Golden Hour. Willie Nelson recently announced a number of 2020 tour dates. The announcement of Nelson’s return to the road in early 2020 comes just a few months after the 86-year-old was forced to cancel a run of summer tour dates due to poor health.
