Nostalgia continues its reign of success across today’s pop culture landscape as music and television fans charge into the new decade with yet another promising franchise reboot.

This time it is the 2000 romantic-comedy classic High Fidelity which will return for a new generation of teenagers. The forthcoming television adaptation of the well-known music film features a slight shake-up from the original premise, as the story’s main protagonist, Rob (played originally by John Cusack) is now played by a very hipster Zoe Kravitz. Of note, Zoe’s mother, Lisa Bonet, acted in the original High Fidelity film.

Also unlike the original film, which took place in Chicago, the main character now played by Kravitz works at a vinyl record store based in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn. Other actors who have prominent roles throughout the series include Da’Vine Joy Randolph, David H. Holmes, Jake Lacy, and Kingsley Ben-Adir.
