Lettuce’s fourth studio album, Crush, sees the band soaring to new heights and exploring new territory, all the while bringing the FUNK. Now more than ever, they’ve managed to infuse their studio work with the energy of a live show. Crush builds on the momentum of previous releases Rage and Fly while adding a new dimension of hip-hop infused beats, psychedelic undertones, and electronic future-funk to the mix.
“That energy we get when it’s prime time and we’re about to go onstage and we’re just excited beyond belief,” says drummer Adam Deitch. “That all came out on this new album. There’s a feeling that the band is rising, and it’s a really beautiful thing.”
After working together for over two decades, Lettuce is anything but tired out. In fact, the group is constantly feeding off one another to find new and exciting ways to engage their audience and push new boundaries. From Berklee College in ’92 to Brooklyn’s Studio G in ’15, this group of acclaimed musicians has a bond that is evident in their live performances, as well as in the progression of their studio work over the years.
