Legendary guitarist Carlos Santana has announced more than a dozen European dates for his Miraculous 2020 World Tour. The tour will celebrate the 20th anniversary of his multiple Grammy-winning album, Supernatural, and the 50th anniversary of the 1970 album, Abraxas.
According to a press release, “While Santana will highlight songs from both his Supernatural and Woodstock eras on the Miraculous 2020 World Tour, he will also feature what he calls ‘the new hymns and songs of tomorrow.’ The band (which also features Santana’s wife, Cindy Blackman Santana, on drums) will also perform energy-infused songs from Santana’s 2019 album Africa Speaks, produced by maverick hitmaker Rick Rubin.”
The Miraculous 2020 World Tour is currently scheduled to hit Switzerland, Poland, Germany, The UK, and Sweden before wrapping up on April 5th at the Hartwall Arena in Helsinki, Finland.
As Carlos Santana states in the release, “When you come to a Santana concert, the miraculous happens. Miraculous means, transforming darkness into delight. I feel like a 20-year-old on stage playing with this band, and they deliver high energy on every song. When we hit the stage, we know we will touch your heart and make you dance, sing, cry, laugh and leave your baggage behind. Our vision-mission is designed to elevate, transform and illumine consciousness to make you want to embrace your own light and allow for miracles and blessings to flow from your own heart.”
Santana will continue headlining his residency at House of Blues at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, with 2019 dates in October and November and 2020 dates in January, February, and May.
