Brothers Chris Robinson and Rich Robinson continue to make the media rounds as the two infamous creative adversaries and longtime bandmates in the Black Crowes remain in promotion mode for their upcoming Shake Your Money Maker summer tour. After opening up about their terrible family relationship on CBS This Morning last weekend, the brothers are now the latest musicians to perform at the NPR offices as their Tiny Desk concert debuted on Monday morning.

The two veteran rockers brought their minimalist equipment setup of Rich’s guitar and Chris’ vocals to Bob Boilen‘s famous desk as the latest episode of the popular online series opens with the familiar acoustic riff to the Black Crowes’ 1990 hit “She Talks To Angels”.

“I’m very excited, because, uh, well I can’t speak for Rich that just wouldn’t be right,” Chris awkwardly says following the first tune of their three-song set. “But I love ‘Tiny Desk’ I watch the bands and stuff, but I thought the desk would be smaller, ya know? I’m a person of poetic construct but in this case, I took it to be very literally a very tiny desk.”

The set continues with “Jealous Again” another well-known tune from 1990’s Shake Your Money Maker. Both brothers team up for the vocal parts on the jangly, uptempo rock tune. The two then close the set with Rich trading his six-string guitar for a 12-string to play through “Wiser Time” from 1994’s Amorica.
