Spafford has added more dates to its upcoming winter tour. The news comes after the band announced The New Motif keyboardist Cory Schechtman will take over on keys following the departure of longtime member Andrew “Red” Johnson earlier this month.
The newly announced dates—dubbed Spaff Ski Tour—are all in Colorado ski towns. They include shows in Telluride (2/14), Steamboat Springs (2/18–2/19), Frisco (2/21), Avon (2/22), Grand Junction (2/23), Nederland (2/24), and Durango (2/25).

Along with previously announced tour dates in the Northeast and Midwest in January and February, the new winter 2023 dates will be Spafford’s first shows with Cory Schechtman on keys. Red’s final shows with the band will be its New Year’s Eve run at The Marquee Theater in Tempe, AZ on December 30th and 31st.
“New Year’s Eve is a very special night for Spafford as it’s the band’s birthday,” he wrote in a statement posted to social media. “Back in late 2011, I was asked to play a handful of shows with the band to finish out the year. That New Year’s Eve, I became a full time member of Spafford. New Year’s shows have always been very special to me, so it seems only fitting that my last show should be on New Year’s Eve. I hope to see ALL of you at The Marquee Theater 12/30 and 12/31 to celebrate with us!”
Tickets for Spafford’s newly announced winter tour dates in Colorado will go on sale via the band’s website tomorrow, Wednesday, November 30th at 8 a.m. MT.
