The 2022 Hanukkah Sessions are in full swing with Dave Grohl and Greg Kurstin calling up multi-platinum party-starter P!nk for a take on her 2001 hit “Get The Party Started!” The live clip celebrating the second night of Hanukkah follows the series premiere featuring Judd Apatow singing Blood, Sweat & Tears‘ “Spinning Wheel”.

Just like the Apatow clip and all forthcoming 2022 Hanukkah Sessions entries, this live performance comes from an intimate, guest-filled December 5th benefit concert at L.A.’s Largo. As Grohl and Kurstin’s holiday tradition has moved outside the boundaries of quarantine, special guests and even backing musicians have entered the mix. See: Jack Black providing backing vocals for P!nk.

With the move to a live performance also comes a live audience, something P!nk handles deftly as she begins her performance informing the crowd, “You don’t have to sit.” A far cry from the stadiums P!nk is preparing to play on her upcoming 2023 North American Summer Carnival tour with Brandi Carlile, this intimate performance takes on a lighthearted nature as the singer occasionally stumbles through the lyrics, at one point accidentally singing a different song.

As Grohl and Kurstin wrote in the video’s description, “One of the music world’s biggest and brightest stars of David, P!nk shows a couple of schmendricks how it’s done by joining us for her very own Bat Mitzvah staple ‘Get The Party Started!'”

Watch Dave Grohl and Greg Kurstin perform “Get The Party Started!” with P!nk for night two of the Hanukkah Sessions. Stay tuned to the Foo Fighters’ YouTube channel for the next six nights.
