The Oregon Ducks have revealed a special Grateful Dead-themed uniform ahead of the University of Oregon football team’s “Grateful Ducks” night on October 25th [get tickets].
Featuring green and yellow tie-dye numbers and a duck face Stealie logo with a lightning bolt Nike Swoosh on each shoulder, the jerseys will be worn by the Oregon Ducks as they take on the Wisconsin Badgers at Eugene’s Autzen Stadium—which hosted ten Grateful Dead shows between 1978 and 1994 and a Dead & Company concert in 2018. The team will also wear helmets emblazoned with tie-dye U of O logos, silver duck wings, and a line of colorful Oregon Ducks mascots parading like the Dead’s classic dancing bears logo.

Fans attending the game are invited to flood the stands with tie-dye, and over the past few months, the Ducks have rolled out a line of official “Grateful Ducks” merch featuring mashups of the team’s mascot and Grateful Dead iconography, including designs by legendary Grateful Dead artist Shawn Kenney. Tickets for the game are available here.
Earlier this month, leaked photos also confirmed a Grateful Dead x Nike x Oregon Ducks three-way sneaker collab, the “Grateful Ducks” Air Max 90s, which are expected to drop before the game, though no official release date has been announced. The sneakers will retail for $140, though early pairs have already appeared on the resale market for upwards of $800.
