The Disco Biscuits confirmed a five-date New Years run several weeks ago, announcing plays on December 26th and 27th at the Concord Music Hall in Chicago, before coming to The Best Buy Theater in NYC from December 29-31. The announcement came shortly after the band’s successful runs in Denver, for Bisco On The Green, and Philadelphia at City Bisco.
Support acts for the Chicago and New York runs have been announced, with Modern Measure playing on the 26th and 29th, Cosby Sweater on the 27th, and our good friends TAUK lending their efforts on the 30th. The 31st, as is the norm, will be strictly an “Evening with” night, with the Biscuits playing 3 full sets. Tickets for all shows can be purchased HERE.
We wanted to give you a little additional sumpin’ sumpin’ to whet your appetites leading up to the run, so check out the late-night schedule below, and some video from the Biscuits run at Best Buy last year, as well as some additional info and choice music selections from Tauk, Cosby Sweater, and Modern Measure. Enjoy!
Here is the official late-night afterparty schedule, which was just announced:
December 29th – the Biscuits will perform themselves, as TRACTORBEAM at BB King’s. Tractorbeam is an all-instrumental incantation of the Biscuits; a rare look at the band’s tight instrumental skills without any lyrical accompaniment. Additionally, Skytale will open up the afterparty festivities, the band’s “good, long time, yet mysterious, friend.” Tickets are available here.
December 30th – Allen Aucoin and Marc Brownstein will both perform sets once again at BB King’s, as DrFameus and Brownie, with Horizon Wireless on hand as well. Tickets are available here.

Tauk has been on our radar for awhile now, between their album release party for Homunculus at the now closed Sullivan Hall last year, to our recent interview with guitarist Matt Jalpert (who will be playing alongside band member Isaac Teel on Dec. 18th w/ Steve Molitz & Clay Parnell of Particle in The Directors Cut at The Cutting Room) over the summer. This is a band that is clearly on the rise, and if you haven’t seen them yet, do not miss their opening set on the 30th. Trust us!
Cosby Sweater is all over the place right now. On tour non-stop and playing with everyone from Pretty Lights, Umphrey’s McGee (the band will be playing L4LM’s Umphrey’s Beacon Theatre after-party w/ Joel Cummins), Deltron 3030, Lotus, EOTO, and a killer performance at this year’s Catskill Chill, Cosby and their Sweater are making waves quick, and not dropping anything in your drink….we promise.
Modern Measure, made up of Kyle Holly (Music Production, Live Drums) and Charlie Thornton (Live DJ, Live Sampling, Music Production) has already set the bar high coming off of sold out performances in Atlanta, as well as touring across the United States, and a huge set at CounterPoint Music Festival and playing with acts such as STS9, Big Gigantic, Break Science, Zoogma, and more.
