Chicago-based progressive jam band Umphrey’s McGee gave the opening day crowd at this year’s Suwannee Hulaween a mind-bending show full of musical mayhem and visual cacophony!
After opening their set with “40’s Theme”, Umphrey’s ran through setlist staples including “Half Delayed, a pairing of “Day Nurse” into “Maybe Someday”, and “Slacker”. The sextet took a moment to catch their breaths before launching into a seamless segue of “Prowler”, “Wife Soup” and “It Doesn’t Matter”, which was followed up by a cover of Toto‘s “Africa”. Following “The Triple Wide”, the band sandwiched “Ringo” in between a massive “JaJunk” to close out their set.
Check out these clips from our own Rex-A-Vision from Thursday night’s show and go see Umphrey’s whenever and wherever you get the chance.
