New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival’s second weekend continued on Saturday following Jazz Fest’s affectionately-known “Locals Thursday” and a Friday lineup featuring headlining spots from Beck, Sheryl Crow, and LL Cool J featuring DJ Z-Trip.
On Saturday, the Jazz Fest fairgrounds saw performances from Aerosmith, Cage The Elephant, The Revivalists, John Deacon, Dumpstaphunk, Kermit Ruffins, Better Than Ezra, The Lost Bayou Ramblers, Corey Henry & Treme Funktet, The Lee Boys, Cowboy Mouth, Boyfriend, Jupiter & Okwess, Astral Project, Pigeon Town Steppers, Big Chief Bo Dollis Jr. & The Wild Magnolias, and a slew of other local and national acts.

If you’re up for one more late night in New Orleans, Live For Live Music has a pair of incredible tribute shows on tap for this evening, Sunday, May 6th, at Maison. At 10pm is a very special Herbie Hancock Tribute featuring Joey Porter and Garrett Sayers [The Motet], Ryan Zoidis [Lettuce], and Robert “Sput” Searight and Nate Werth [Snarky Puppy]. Later, at 2am, members of The Motet, Turkuaz, Snarky Puppy, the Main Squeeze and more will pay tribute to Prince with the Purple Parth.
