Andy Frasco & The U.N. have released a delightfully morbid new single, “Dancin’ Around My Grave”. The new track features guest contributions by members of Doom Flamingo and Susto.
On his latest single, the famously raucous jam-scene ringleader reflects on a life well-lived. As somebody who admittedly lives “90 miles an hour/No brakes, all gas,” mortality has undoubtedly crossed Frasco’s mind. With that thought, Frasco delivers his requests for what his fans, friends, and followers should do when he inevitably dances off this earthly realm.
Beyond holding off on the black clothes, Frasco sings, they should all light off pyrotechnics as we two-step around his headstone, remembering all the love and laughter he shared with them over the years.
For “Dancin’ Around My Grave”, Frasco invited a pair of guest eulogizers with Doom Flamingo’s Kanika Moore—who reaches down into her soul for some angelic gospel singing—as well as Susto’s Justin Osborne, who adds another layer to the vocal harmony.
In the video for the track, we see scenes from Frasco’s dramatized funeral in Colorado, from the friends gathered around his casket to the Gothic Theatre‘s marquee displaying the words, “R.I.P. Andy Frasco … Celebrate what we had.”
