Billy Joel has announced his plans to celebrate New Year’s Eve 2024 with a performance at Elmont, NY’s UBS Arena. The performance will mark Joel’s second straight year celebrating New Year’s Eve on Long Island, where he famously grew up [ticketing information].
The UBS Arena show will round out a banner year for Joel. In February, the decorated yet long-reluctant songwriter released his first new track in 30 years, “Turn the Lights Back On”. In July, Joel ended his history-making, sold-out, 104-show monthly residency at New York’s Madison Square Garden with his 150th overall MSG show, which featured guest appearances by Axl Rose and Jimmy Fallon as well as a new banner raised to the venue’s rafters.
