Billy Strings has announced that he and his jam-grass posse will embark on a tour of Europe in late 2022. The announcement comes as Billy and company continue their first-ever run of shows across the pond in London, U.K. this weekend.
The Europe 2022 tour will include ten shows beginning with a stop at Rockefeller Music Hall in Oslo, Norway on November 29th. The band will then continue through Scandinavia, visiting Denmark and Sweden before traveling south to Germany for a show at Berlin’s Columbia Theater on December 3rd. Billy Strings will then stop in Amsterdam, Cologne, London, and Manchester before wrapping up the tour with performances in Dublin, Ireland on December 9th and Glasgow, Scotland on December 11th.
Those familiar with the history of European jam band tours know that the Grateful Dead‘s Europe ’72 tour and Phish‘s 1997 summer European trek have become the stuff of legend. Whether it was traveling through unfamiliar cities or playing smaller rooms that inspired these special performances, they have gone down as some of the best shows in each band’s career. With the announcement of his Europe 2022 Tour, Billy Strings seems to follow in their footsteps—and if history is any indication, these shows are not to be missed.
