Howard Stern revealed this week that Billy Strings will appear and perform as a guest on the legendary radio host’s SiriusXM show. According to fan-sourced information from social media groups, Strings will appear on the show next Wednesday, November 5th.

Stern has long flown his Billy Strings flag wide and high. Last October, he played Strings’ “Leadfoot” off 2024’s Highway Prayers and praised Billy’s guitar playing (even though what he was hearing was actually a banjo, as co-host Robin Quivers pointed out).

“I watched some videos of him playing. I’ve never seen anything like it,” Stern marveled, revealing that Billy had sent him a guitar and welcomed him to the six-string community. “You don’t need to do that, but alright,” he reportedly told Strings.

In that October 2024 plug, Stern gave a broad overview of Strings’ early years, particularly his turbulent childhood and adolescence. Last year, however, Stern qualified his retelling by admitting he wasn’t entirely well-versed on the guitarist’s backstory. With Billy Strings appearing on the Howard Stern show next week, in the in-depth interview style of the host’s SiriusXM embodiment, the country’s most famous radio personality will be able to dive deep into what took Strings from a tiny town in Michigan to stages all over the world.
