Billy Strings has announced the Streaming Strings 2020 Tour, a digital tour of live streamed concerts. The “tour” will feature nine concerts, filmed live in empty venues throughout Nashville, TN.
After COVID-19 forced Strings to cancel his spring tour, the rising bluegrass artist took to a variety of media to satisfy his fans. Recently, he launched On The Line With Billy Strings, a podcast on which he invites up some of his friends and colleagues to chat.

According to a press release, the series will begin on July 16th with a live stream from Brooklyn Bowl Nashville and continue on over the course of the next ten days. The tour will see Strings and company play at such legendary venues as Station Inn, City Winery, Exit/In, and 3rd & Lindsley. The shows will be streamed on a rotating schedule via FANS, Station Inn TV, Nugs TV, and TourGigs. Additionally, a portion of the proceeds will be equally divided and donated to the ACLU, Backline, and the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund.
The announcement also noted that the tour dates are subject to change based on the developments of the pandemic. According to the statement, “Contingency plans (and dates) are in place three times over.”
