The family of late reggae icon Bob Marley has released a new animated video for “Three Little Birds”.
The video comes as part of ‘Marley75’, a year-long celebration from the Marley estate honoring what would have been Bob’s 75th birthday. Previous video releases include “Redemption Song” and “Easy Skanking“, as well as a 12-part documentary series called Bob Marley – LEGACY: 75 Years A Legend.

The video for Marley’s eternal feel-good anthem finds the song’s familiar chilled-out tone set to Disney-like animation and iconography. Featuring the Big Bad Wolf, Three Little Pigs, and the titular Three Little Birds, this warmly animated sequence finds the Little Pig staying off the predatory advances of the Big Bad Wolf through kindness. The easygoing Little Pig who effortlessly avoids danger even offers to pass the dutchie to the wolf trying to eat him. When the Wolf inevitably tries to eat the Pig, the swine instead offers the Wolf to share in the picnic that the Wolf was originally using as a trap to catch the Pig. When the Pig eventually finds the Wolf’s Little Red Riding Hood wig he used to fool and devour the little girl’s grandmother, the Wolf merely shrugs it off as “what’re you gonna do?” Nothing like a happy ending.
Marley’s daughter Cedella said of the video, “This song has helped provide hope and light for so many over the years, including me, and I hope it does the same for people now, especially with all that is going on in the world.”
