Looks like the most anticipated album of the summer is coming from Bob Marley. The greatest hits album Legend, which was released three years after his death in 1984, is set to be remixed by a who’s-who of artists, including Thievery Corporation, Pretty Lights, Lee “Scratch” Perry, Beats Antique, Jim James, RAC, and Roni Size to his own sons Ziggy and Stephen Marley.
Legend Remixed is set for release on June 25th on CD, LP, and digital download. The “Three Little Birds” remix can be purchased and downloaded on iTunes here. Legend is that one album that you can find in just about everybody’s record collection. It’s the album you play on a beautiful summer day, when you want the rain to go away, or when it is brick cold outside and you need to warm them bones. There is no better feel good music than that of Robert Nesta Marley.
