Last night, Bob Weir brought his “Campfire Tour” to the Tower Theater in Upper Darby, PA, playing a great show that memorably included a show-closing sit-in from Joe Russo and Tom Hamilton on “Not Fade Away.” On paper, the setlist was truly great, mixing Grateful Dead classics with cowboy tunes from Weir’s new solo album Blue Mountain. However, there was one moment that didn’t make it onto the setlist page.

According to WXPN The Key, Weir also had the honor of officiating a wedding during the setbreak of last night’s performance. When Philly Live Nation head Geoff Gordon informed Weir of his plans for a surprise wedding, the Grateful Dead guitarist made himself available to officiate the ceremony. Our heartfelt congratulations to Geoff and Sayeeda Gordon on their new marriage!

Bob Weir continues his tour tomorrow night, October 14th, with a performance at Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre.
